The book aims to be a survival guide for SHO's evaluating and managing patients while on an on-call shift. The book seeks to assist SHO's in acting autonomously, particularly as their seniors (Registrar) will be frequently unavailable on-site to help in the evenings or overnight.

Dr Sawhney completed his medical training at Imperial College in London where he cultivated an interest in medical education and surgery. During his first 2 years of practice, he developed a passion for Plastic surgery, choosing to continue his basic surgical training at the University of Birmingham’s hospitals.
